“Compassion for Undocumented Students in the Classroom: A Pedagogical Perspective”

In this workshop, we will review how compassion compliments and fosters equity; the need for, benefits, and construct of compassion; the connection of compassion to resilience; the differences between compassion, empathy, and sympathy; the difference between self-esteem and self-compassion; and the principles and application of compassionate pedagogy.
