Grads to Be Presents: High School UndocuAdvocate

March 6 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

High School Dream Advocate is a professional development session for high school staff, administrators, counselors, and teachers. The workshop equips educators to reduce dropout rates and increase college enrollment among immigrant students by training them to serve as early recruiters. Participants learn how to navigate and mitigate cultural and institutional barriers that often discourage immigrant families from pursuing higher education. They also gain practical language, success stories, and strategies to keep students engaged in their college and career pathways. Educators leave prepared to guide students toward essential support resources—such as Dream Resource Liaisons and financial aid staff—who can continue supporting them beyond high school. This session builds a clear, visible bridge from the classroom to college.
