Located in the Cypress College Theater

Documentary Border South/Frontera Sur, directed by Raúl Paz Pastrana, melds ethnography and cinema verité to explore the harsh environment and brutal journey of undocumented immigrants from Central America crossing through Mexico towards the United States.

A Mexican immigrant filmmaker, cinematographer, and multimedia creator, Pastrana’s work intersects contemporaryart, political documentary, and visual ethnography to explore themes of “belonging” and “alienation” in immigrant communities. Border South /Frontera Sur is Pastrana's first feature film.
