FC Art Gallery Exhibition: Culturally Displaced (Oct 26-Dec 12)

Culturally Displaced: Selections from the Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation.
Exhibition will be open October 26 - December 12

Fullerton College Art Gallery is proud to exhibit a selection of works from the Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation.

Frederick R. Weisman was a pioneering collector who lived and worked in Fullerton in the 1950’s, gaining a respected reputation as the President of Hunt Foods, Inc. (then known as Val-Vita Foods).  On view are works from the Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation exploring both the expression and the perception of cultures. Artists included span diverse origins, from Cuba to Brazil to Germany and address topics including slavery, surveillance, and identity.

Gallery Hours: Monday through Thursday from 10:00am to 12:00pm and 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
Evening Hours: November 8, 14 and 20 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Admission is always free.
Supporting Events: Opening Reception, Thursday, October 26 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.
